Shakira Wingate (she/her) is passionate about discussions and actions that lead to sustainable changes surrounding people, natural resources, and health. Currently, a graduate student studying Integrated Water Resource Management centered on the Middle East and Northern African at the TH Köln – University of Applied Sciences and the German Jordanian University she enjoys learning new things and meeting new people. Previously, a USA Peace Corps Volunteer working within water, sanitation, and hygiene and an intern with GIZ supporting SMEs innovations along the water, energy, food gradient, she has grasped that there are different interventions that can yield positive social impacts. She hopes to continue learning and participating with different stakeholders involved in international cooperation.
