Astha Joshi

Land, Water and Food Advocacy Fellow

Astha Joshi (she/her) is a graduate and Public Service Fellow of the Johns Hopkins University, School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), where she earned an M.A. in International Relations, focusing on development, climate, and sustainability. With over 7 years of experience, Astha has worked in various roles with international organizations such as BRAC USA, DanChurchAid (former South Asia Regional Office), as well as non-profits and think tanks in Nepal. In these roles, she has contributed to projects addressing climate change adaptive livelihoods, disaster risk reduction and management, and social protection through a gender lens. Astha will be working with the World Council of Churches, under the supervision of Rev. Dr. Kenneth Mtata, Director of Programmes, and the Land, Water, and Food Advocacy programme. She is passionate about advancing gender equality and environmental sustainability in policy and practice.
